ABOUT ME

Florian Blaschke

Hello – my name is Florian. I'm a runner and blazing trails for Spot the Dot — an NGO to raise awareness of melanoma and other types of skin cancer. Beyond that, I get lost in the small things that make life beautiful: the diversity of specialty coffee, the stubborn silence of bike rides, and the flashes of creativity in fashion and design.

Professionally, I’m an organizational psychologist and communications expert — working at the intersection of people, culture, and language. Alongside my corporate work, I’m also a barista at Benson Coffee — a Cologne based roastery obsessed with quality (and trophies on the side).

This blog has been around since 2005 — back when writing online felt more like a conversation in the dark. It started in German, without a map, and has since turned into a space for running, coffee, and psychology — sometimes gently, sometimes head-on. What comes out are reflections that aim to be thoughtful, and hopefully useful.

If you're curious about my story, or you just want to grab my résumé, please follow this link. If you'd rather go for a run and argue along the way, feel free to drop me a line.

I’M BLAZING TRAILS FOR

Spot the Dot is an NGO working with artists, athletes, patients, and dermatologists from around the world to raise awareness of melanoma and other types of skin cancer. The aim of all projects is to encourage people to start a conversation with their loved ones (and their physician) about the importance of prevention and detection of skin cancer.
