About

Hello — I’m Florian. I’m a runner and an ambassador for Spot the Dot, helping raise awareness of melanoma and other forms of skin cancer. I’m also drawn to the small things that make life feel rich: the diversity of specialty coffee, the stubborn silence of long bike rides, and those flashes of creativity you find in fashion and design.

Professionally, I work at the intersection of organizational psychology, communication, and change. I’m interested in how people, culture, and language shape whether change actually works in everyday practice. And every now and then, you’ll also find me behind the bar at Benson Coffee in Cologne — quality-driven, proudly nerdy. If you’re curious about my story, or you just want to grab my résumé, you’re in the right spot.

  • Freelance, Cologne Bonn Region / hybrid
  • Freelance Project Lead — Transformation, People & Communication
  • Supporting organizations in scaling and change: crisp stakeholder communication, reliable operating rhythms, clear decision-making, strong collaboration, and practical leadership enablement. Available for selected freelance projects and open to the right permanent role.
  • 2025 — current

  • Benson Coffee, Cologne
  • Barista
  • Making people happy, one cup at a time. Working as a Barista at Benson Coffee — a Cologne based roastery obsessed with quality (and trophies on the side). Here, it’s about precision and patience: weighing, timing, extracting — all the details that turn roasted beans into a drink that feels simple but isn’t. And it’s about joy: watching someone take that first sip and knowing the day just got a little better.

Work History

  • 2019 — 2026

  • S‑Communication Services, Düsseldorf
  • Competence Lead
  • At S‑Communication Services within the German Savings Banks Finance Group, my role grew into more than team leadership. I was responsible for editorial units in the banking context, but just as much for the conditions that make change work: hiring and onboarding well, developing people, introducing agile routines, facilitating workshops, and creating a mentoring program for managers. Alongside that, I contributed to broader transformation efforts — from AI-related committee work and internal enablement to the redesign of content processes, clearer interfaces, and stronger governance. Looking back, the role was really about one thing: building environments in which people, structures, and new technology could move forward together.

  • 2016 — 2019

  • prisma, Düsseldorf
  • Editor in chief

  • t3n Magazine, Hannover
  • Managing Editor
  • As Managing Editor, I was responsible not just for output, but for how the team worked: setting targets, improving structures and workflows, launching new formats, and helping drive the growth of t3n’s digital reach.

  • Head of Press and PR
